Dining Out for LifeŽ

be a Volunteer Ambassador for Dining Out for LifeŽ

be a Volunteer Ambassador for Dining Out for LifeŽ! Project Angel Heart's 12th Annual Dining Out for LifeŽ is Thursday, April 27th. Volunteers are needed to serve as Volunteer Ambassadors over breakfast, lunch, and especially dinner! The restaurants are booking up quickly, so read below, and choose a restaurant!

With a record of nearly 300 participating restaurants in metro Denver and Boulder, Dining Out for LifeŽ will raise over $335,000 (more than 20% of our annual budget!) to benefit Project Angel Heart. On Dining Out for LifeŽ day, participating restaurants donate 25% of the day's food sales to Project Angel Heart, but that's only one way we reach our fundraising goals.

Pairs of volunteer Ambassadors are needed in restaurants to greet diners and talk to them about the mission of Project Angel Heart: to provide nutritious meals with love to people living with life-threatening illness in Denver and Colorado Springs. Volunteer resource managers will make excellent Ambassadors: you already have skills and experience in talking to people about the value of nonprofits in our community. Through volunteer Ambassadors, diners become donors! In fact, diners have become volunteers and have even referred new clients.

Volunteer Ambassadors will receive the training, materials, and support they need to effectively approach patrons and talk to them about Project Angel Heart. Ambassadors are asked to find a partner to volunteer with them on Dining Out for Life day, because it's much more fun to volunteer with a friend! Volunteers must be friendly, willing to speak to the public and represent Project Angel Heart, and, most importantly, know how to have fun! In fact, we hear more about how much fun it is than anything else!

To become an Ambassador, visit http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.asp?u=540961902161 or contact Betty Aldworth, Director of Volunteer Resources, at 303-830-0202 ext. 16 or betty@projectangelheart.org.

Live from Tokyo!

cannot believe we are actually here! Akiko picked us up from the airport and drove us into Tokyo, sakura are exploding everywhere, had a lovely dinner with cousin Shin, Daichi and Tama and the adventure has only just begun.

Mark knew this would be the best time to come!
