saving for retirement

take a minute with this retirement calculator

In retirement, you will need $80,000 a year in income. (Because of inflation, in 2026, that will be equivalent to $148,823.)
Part of that income will come from your Social Security and/or pensions. To produce the rest, you should build up your nest egg (including your 401k, IRA and other savings accounts) to $1,528,006 by the time you retire. (In 2026, that will be equivalent to $2,842,542).

To save $1,528,006, your investments need to gain an average of 31.27% from now until retirement. We estimate that there is a 0.00% chance of this happening.

the color of money - chinese

Can you name one Japanese actress?

For this reason Hollywood cast Chinese actresses for the major roles in Memoirs of a Geisha Fabulous, beautiful actresses.
But.
Does it matter that the movie is based on a book set in Japan?
Are there no Japanese actresses who speak enough english to play the roles in Hollywood movies?
This CNN story is interesting. It goes to show that asian actresses aren't enough. Could an all Japanese cast have made the same amount of money this film full of Chinese stars will? That's a risk Hollywood wasn't willing to take.
They could have cast:
Chiaki Kuriyama from Kill Bill.
Ryoko Hirosue

was she stealing your jacket...

Only she really knows what thoughts and intentions were swirling in her blonde head that cold November night.
All i know is we were chilling at a party telling jokes,

like, "you know what Jesus said to the disciples who were at the last supper?" no, wha? "If you want to be in the picture you need to sit on my side of the table."
When I notice a drunk couple striding out of the party and it looked like she was wearing the coat my mom bought me. Not to be a total accusatory bi-a-ch. I ran up stairs to scan both bedrooms for my coat in the sea of black wool and leather coats only to find my coat was definitely missing.
"A girl outside is wearing my coat - out side now!" i barked at hansen
I flew out the door into the cold, down the street just as they were about to reach the corner and shouted, "Hey! You're wearing my jacket!"
They stopped, she walked back, peeled the jacket off as she met me half way, "I'm so sorry I have a jacket just like this and I thought this was mine."
"That's OK. Don't you want to come in and get your jacket?"
"No, it's OK. I come here twice a week I can pick it up later."

Two guys on the porch were smoking and debating the situation.
Rick, our new drummer friend, thought she was making a play for it.
Unknown, smoking guy, knew her and thought she was just drunk and had put it on by mistake.

No harm no foul. I'm just glad I don't have to tell my mom it was stolen. Yes, I'm an adult and still afraid of telling my mom I've lost something or that is was stolen and hearing the speech about how I can't take care of anything.
Now that I think about it. I could see myself making a similar mistake if I had enough to drink.
