Moving often unearths unwanted household hazards. In this case we had around 30 cans of unwanted paint. Even the dumpster rummagers didn't want this paint.
So thankfully, I was able to take 125 pounds of household hazardous waste, paint and a car battery, to a drop-site for free. Residents are only allowed 125 pounds for free a year. It is $2.75 per can once you get over the free quanity but getting rid of unwanted household hazardous wastes is worth it.
Before you think of dumping paint, pesticides, solvents, cleaners, motor oil, and batteries in the dumpster remember you can have them pick up 30 pounds of household hazardous waste from your house!
