Tonite we celebrated Eero Saarinen and the tulip chair at One home.
His daughter, Susan Saarinen, a local landscape architect spoke of his humor, love for competition, design and architecture. She asked Knoll to bring back the Grasshopper chair. She spoke of total design, a concept where the structure and all the details of the home inside are related. I like that idea.
